Helps cultivate “executive functions,” including creativity, flexibility, self-control, and discipline. Helps to relieve stress and anxiety. Gives participants a set of physical cues through posture and breathing that they can access in stressful situations to find a feeling of peace and clear focus. Excellent method for improving overall flexiblity and strength. Improves body self-image.
This 1 hour class includes stretching, strengthening and breathing exercises that will leave you refreshed, relaxed and peaceful. Yoga is an excellent method for gaining body awareness, improving flexibility, and practice in being present in the moment and aware while getting much needed physical exercise. Yoga also provides tools for releasing stress while actively practicing in class as well as teaching body postures that can be used to remind the body of a sense of peace and calm during any stressful situation.
When combined in an multi-age group, particularly parents and their kids or teachers and students, yoga provides an exccellent opportunity to bond and develop commmunity while doing something fun and healthy!
All levels. No experience necessary.
